Code of Conduct

1. Respect
Members will respect all other members. You will never use foul or derogatory language, nor will a member make comments on race, gender, religion or sexual preference towards fellow members in game or on our guild website.

While in public, members are expected to act with honor, dignity, respect for other players, and maturity. Your actions not only reflect on yourself, but it reflects on us as a whole. Violation can result in demotion/expulsion. This also applies to your behavior on the official Old Republic forums.

Taunting of other players in a competitive/fun manner is allowed. However, do not harass another player.

If you use someone else's art work please give credit where credit is due. We take a strong view on those seek to deceive with Stories or Art taken from other people and pass it off as their own as it shows a clear lack of respect, not only for the orginal writer/artist but the guild as a whole.

Respect is one of the most valued rules that the Hands of Darkness is founded on.

2. Cheating/Exploits
Members will not use cheats or exploits. Cheating/Exploits includes the use of hacks, trainers, bots, or any other method deemed cheating or an exploit by EA, BioWare, LucasArts or by the Hands of Darkness.  A member caught cheating will be subject to expulsion from the Guild.

3. The Chain of Command
If you disagree with a decision made by an officer / leader of the guild never argue over the decision in public. Use private messages to talk about them as in the long run you might damage the guild.

Always try to resolve conflict/problems/issues with the other involved member(s) first. Should you really feel that you can’t work out the conflict/problem/issue make an officer aware of your situation. Officers and leaders are there to help and serve members. Please do not start posting grievances on public forums (official forums or guild forums), contact a guild officer or a guild leader, they are here to serve.

4. Forum use
Trolling, Spamming, or Flaming will not be tolerated on the Hands of Darkness Forums, at first a warning will be issued, if the problem continues, it can result in revocation of posting rights.
